Spring is here in Trinity County, which means it’s planting season at Hash & Flowers.
This year we’re growing full-term outdoor, true to California’s cannabis heritage. The team is building organic living-soil beds, checking the irrigation and transplanting seedlings. By the end of the season, many of these plants will stand over ten feet tall.
Two favorites are back: Cranberry Zkittlez, with its berry-candy aroma, and Poochie’s Papaya, a tropical, terpene-heavy standout from past seasons. We’re also trying some new banana and citrus crosses, chosen with solventless concentrates in mind.
A wet winter left plenty of water, and early pest and mold management, along with our regenerative farming practices, got the plants off to a strong start. Coming off our Golden Bear win, we have high hopes for 2025.
Planting season is also when we trade seeds and clones with neighboring growers, a Northern California tradition we’re proud to be part of. Emily, our garden manager, sums up how the team feels about it: “I’d live in these buds if I could.”
